Aqua Mustard Chef 230mm

Artist and bladesmith William Porto of Brazil has delivered another breathtaking chef knife designed for daily meal prep, and this time, a first from William, it features a beautifully applied, forced mustard patina finish. Like every one-of-a-kind object that leaves William’s studio, this creation is crafted for uncompromising utility, its 230mm / 9″ blade offering convex primary bevel geometry, a sharp, tough, and dynamic edge that is thin and precise toward the tip for slicing while being tough and powerful at the heel for chopping tasks. A full distal taper along the rounded spine leads to a pointed, needle-like tip and provides a touch of lateral flexibility in the final inches while the blade maintains rigidity further back. Balancing at the front of the heirloom-fit integral bolster, the knife is quick and nimble yet steady in the hand, providing a natural, welcomed feel that we would cook with morning, noon, and night. Completing the handle is a simply carved and elegant piece of stabilized maple in gently sculpted, hand-hugging Western form. Included is a custom-made leather saya with pin.
