From North Vancouver bladesmith and damascus artist Casey Vilensky comes a chef’s slicing knife styled and built to perform as flawlessly in the kitchen as beside the dinner table with guests seated. Carve and serve in the dining room, or slice and prepare proteins throughout meal prep with 210mm / 8.3″ of sharp, hard, and thin carbon steel, hand forged from Casey’s house-made feather damascus pattern. Providing a head-turning aesthetic with its etched and polished finish, the blade is tough and rigid along a rounded spine, with an edge profile that remains flat out of the heel before sweeping upward to a very slim and pointed tip, with convex bevel geometry throughout, making for a tool that will prepare even the largest items for presentation. Complementing the feather damascus is a traditional, wa-style octagonal handle carved from Indian Rosewood with black palm wood bolster and black spacer.
