Damasteel Timascus Pizza Cutter

Wheel, arms, and frame of this striking, one-of-a-kind pizza tool are precision-crafted from Damasteel stainless damascus by the object’s designer and maker, Filipino artist Sean Alonzo. In a style that this talented craftsman has honed over recent years, and quickly developed a following because of, this pizza cutter is as comfortable in the hand and utile in the kitchen as it is exquisite to behold. Each object Sean creates at his studio in Metro Manila is unique, and that could be considered an understatement here. For comfort and control while maneuvering the three inch wheel that turns on phosphor bronze washers, Sean layers dyed and stabilized box elder burl, which has been sculpted to hug the hand, atop thick liners of carbon fiber, that in turn flank the frame’s tapered Damasteel tang to form the gorgeous handle. At its front face, dovetailed and faceted titanium bolsters complete the handle build. And Sean doesn’t stop there: a titanium ring surrounds a titanium and zirconium timascus accent pin at the handle’s center. This detail in turn matches the timascus collars that encircle the titanium hardware which secures the wheel to its arms. A rare and gourmet pizza experience awaits.
