Foliage Turning Spatula

Hand-hewn by artist, blacksmith, papermaker, and printmaker Michelle Kwiecien, this beautiful turning spatula is but one form of culinary art from Foliage Collection of heirloom culinary objects. Combining techniques that span her wide-ranging resume of craft experience, the photo-etched fern imagery which graces the solid brass head is inspired by intaglio printmaking. A feeling of nostalgia and warmth is exuded from each spatula, crafted one by one at Michelle’s Philadelphia studio, from the elegantly forged stainless handle to the simple, hammered steel pins and head-turning, patinated brass. Crafted in small batches exclusively for us, each spatula is a one-of-a-kind.
