Thin, dark, and made for countless hours of vegetable chopping joy, this nakiri chef’s knife was forged by hand in Suffolk, UK by bladesmith Leszek Sikon. With brute de forge integral bolster construction, the knife is weighted and forward balanced to allow its mass and slim edge to move effortless through ingredients. An overall weight of 8.7oz / 246g makes it a tough workhorse capable of hours of prep in kitchens large or small. Leszek’s style, informed by years of artist blacksmithing, bladesmithing, and metal-forging of a wide variety, combines a rustic, natural, and understated feel with excellent geometry and a house-made blade material that stands out for its bright, meandering line of pure nickel surrounded by a sea of dark black carbon steel. For grip, a simple and traditional handle of ancient bog oak tapers forward until it meets the bolster for comfort and control.
